Rugby competition

Over the Easter holidays we participated in a contact rugby competition at Castleford Tigers. Everyone played really well and for some it was their first time playing contact rugby. We finished runners up which was a great achievement!

Team: Lewis Edwards, Daniel Edwards, Cody Moore, Ryan Franks, Chris Sugden, Harrison Morris, Coby Glew, Charlotte Unwin, Gracie Grace & Charlie Skelding.

Wednesday 17th June

We took part in the York Knights contact rugby tournament. We won 1 game, drew 1 and lost 3. The boys played really well as it was quite rough, but once we got into it we gave as good as we got.

Well done to all the team, especially Nathan, James and Jake who played brilliantly. Many thanks to parents who helped us with transport.

York City Knights

From Monday the 27th April the free Lunchtime rugby training session will restart and will fun as follows:

Castleford Tigers v Bradford Bulls, Sun 29th March, Kick Off 3.30 pm

The pupils who took part in the Tigers Paws Dance Programme will be performing their routine at the home game in front of the crowd! If you wish to watch the pupils discounted tickets are available for the match. Please call into the school Office for a form.

York City Knights

York City Knights are running holiday activities at Heworth York over the Easter holidays. See poster on Key Stage 2 notice board for more details.

Sunday 8th March 2009

we took a team to the Tag Rugby Festival at York City Knights. In spite of the poor weather the team played well winning 1 match, drawing 2 and losing 2. We did not make the finals however it was a great team effort. Thanks to parents who came to support the team.
