Football

On Monday we played Kirk Fenton in a boy’s league football match. The score was 2-2; we came from behind twice to earn this draw, from 2 great goals by Reece & Harry.

Team: Tyger, James, Reece, Ryan, Jake, Daniel, Caine, Matthew Coby and Harry.

Rugby

York City Knights are running holiday activities at Heworth York over the Easter holidays. See poster on Key Stage 2 notice board for more details.

Castleford Tigers v Bradford Bulls. Sun 29th March, Kick Off 3.30 pm.

The pupils who took part in the Tigers Paws Dance Programme will be performing their routine at the home game in front of the crowd! If you wish to watch the pupils discounted tickets are available for the match. Please call into the school Office for a form.

Mothers Day Service

We hope you enjoyed our mothers’ day service at St Edward’s Church on Thursday. The pupils enjoyed saying nice things about their mums and grandmas. They sang really nicely too!

Easter Competition

We are running an Easter competition with prizes donated by FOBBS. The themes for this year are:

Hope you join in! Have a look for the prizes on display in the entrance from Monday. Entries should come into school on Monday 30th March.

Sharing Assembly

Thanks to Year 6 for sharing their work with us. Year 6 changed into Romans and Celts for the morning and demonstrated their battle skills. They also shared many facts about Roman life. We were all enthralled by their tales. Thanks to parents and Grandparents for joining us.

Please could you make sure that dinner money is in a named envelope with the days that dinner is required for your children.

Homework drop in Sessions

These are still running in the Year 6 classroom on Mondays from 3.30 until 4.30 for any parents and pupils who would like support with aspects of Literacy or Numeracy homework.

Book Fair and Chocolate Tombola

World Book Day logo

Thank you for supporting our book fair and chocolate Tombola. Commission from the book fair will be taken in the form of extra books for school. The money raised from the Tombola (£287 so far) is for the year 6 leavers’ event at the end of the school year.
