School newsletter - Thursday 22nd July

At last we have reached the end of a really busy school year. It has flown! Thank you to pupils and staff for all their hard work. Thanks also to parents for your support. We hope your child has had an enjoyable and successful year.

Activities

Year 6 Leavers Assembly

Thank you to those who joined us for the Year 6 leavers’ assembly today. Their play, “ Dr Who”, was fantastic and it was nice to hear their memories of our school. It is sad to see them go but we wish them lots of luck at their new schools and are sure they will come back and see us.

Well done to everyone who received an attendance or behaviour award. Well done also to our football team who received special awards for their outstanding performance this last school year. Congratulations also to James Pegg who received the annual sports shield for his outstanding sporting ability and attitude.

Our school council also received certificates for their contribution to school.

Sports Day – Tuesday 20th July

We were lucky with the weather and everyone had a great time. Well done to all who took part. Thanks also to Mrs Carlisle who organised the day.

Key Stage 2 Concert

We hope you enjoyed our Key Stage 2 concert. The children worked very hard to learn their words and the dancing was great.

Attendance

*

The winners of the attendance shield for this week is Mrs Carlisle’s class (Year 2) with 98.3%. Well Done!

School meals

We would like to advise you that as of 2nd September 2010 the price of a school lunch will be increasing to £1.85 per day.

Parking

Please do not park in the school driveway. This blocks access for emergency vehicles, coaches and deliveries. A few parents are still putting our pupils at risk.

Mrs Carlisle

As you will know Mrs Carlisle is leaving us this week. We wish her well and thank her for her enormous contribution to the life of our school. She will be missed by pupils, parents, governors and her colleagues.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Miss Jones and Miss Goodway who are getting married in the holidays. Good luck to them!
