Activities
Cricket
We took part in the first ever annual Kwik Cricket tournament for Y3 and 4 this week. We came fourth out of 7 schools and had a very enjoyable day at Church Fenton Cricket Club. Well done to all who took part and thank you to Louise Edwards who helped with transport.
Team: Oliver, Adam, Zack, Holly, Aiden, Daniel, Miles and Letitia.
There are some posters outside Mrs Carlisle’s classroom giving information about Cricket training over the summer, run by Yorkshire County Cricket.
Football
We also won our final league football match on Thursday, beating Kellington 3-2 in a close fought great game. This means we are undefeated this academic year, a great achievement, and we go forward to the league finals at Riccall next week.
Team: Oliver, Reece, Ryan, James, Ethan, Charlie, Lewis, Matthew and Coby.
Cereal box requests
Mrs Carlisle needs as many cereal boxes as possible please for some art projects in Year 2.

Friends of Brotherton and Byram School (FOBBS)
This is Josie Stringer’s last year as the driving force in FOBBS the schools Parents / Teacher Association. Is there anyone interested in taking over? It would be great to have someone in place as early as possible so they could shadow Josie as she organises summer events such as the fish and chip supper and the fashion show. If you are interested call in at the office!
FOBBS will be holding a fashion show on Wednesday 16th June. We will need ladies and children to model the clothes. Please call in at the office if you are willing to volunteer.
On the same day we will be holding a fancy dress sponsored walk and picnic lunch. You might like to be thinking ahead about your costume!
