Healthy Lifestyles
We had a visitor from York City in the Community in school this week to talk to the children about healthy lifestyles. He visited Years 1 - 6 and told us how important it is to keep active. The children enjoyed investigating the effect of exercise on their pulse rate.

Please remember to make dinner money cheques payable to GFM Ltd.
From this coming Monday Mrs Wardle will be available on Monday mornings in the hall from 8.45 - 9.10am to receive dinner money payments or discuss any issues relating to the payment of dinner money. You may still send dinner money with your child to give to their teacher in a named envelope if you wish.
Reading books
We have reviewed our reading scheme and purchased extra books to extend our collection. Books now have coloured bands which relate to their difficulty. You may notice that your child appears to be at a different level. Please be assured that we have carefully matched the book to your child's ability but if you have any concerns, please contact your child's class teacher.
Health and Safety
I have been asked to remind parents to closely supervise their children as they approach the crossing patrol to avoid children dashing out into the road before instructed it is safe to do so by the patrol officers. A car had to brake heavily when a child went into the road this week.
